Basketball Recap: Ferriday Comes Up Short

Ferriday has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ouachita Christian Eagles. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2017.

Ferriday's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Ouachita Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferriday won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ouachita Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Delhi Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
