Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Macon County's Fourth in Last Five Outings

It was a proper cat-fight when Macon County took on Lenoir City on Thursday. Macon County walked away with an 11-6 win over Lenoir City. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Landon Connor looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Macon County is undefeated when Connor allowstwo or fewer hits, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Braylon Flowers was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has become a key player for Macon County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Carver, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
