Basketball Recap: Juanita Comes Up Short

Juanita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hazen Highlanders. The Ravens were not able to make up for their defeat to the Highlanders from their previous meeting back in January.

Hazen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rydan Corwin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Gilbert, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Juanita's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hazen, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7.

Juanita didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-79 victory against Auburn Riverside on the 20th. As for Hazen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 82-52 defeat against Liberty on the 19th.
