Mount Olive Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Varsity Opponent with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 55-38. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Mount Olive Christian as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Abby Rodgers, who dropped a double-double on 42 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Mount Olive Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Morrow, who posted five points and 12 rebounds.
Mount Olive Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics took their matchup back in December of 2024 with ease, bagging a 61-19 win over John Paul the Great Academy. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Mount Olive Christian better focus on containing Malorie Miller and Sadie Sharbono as the pair were huge in Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics' win. Miller dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards, while Sharbono went 9 of 15 on her way to 18 points and five steals. That's the most rebounds Miller has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Broussard, who had six points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
