Softball Recap: Nansemond River Falls to Western Branch in First Game of Season

Nansemond River had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 14-0 to the Western Branch Bruins on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost four in a row.

Nansemond River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Greenwood, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The victory made it two in a row for Western Branch and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Nansemond River will take on Churchland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Branch, they will welcome Bayside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
