Baseball Recap: Lucerne Valley Takes a Loss

Lucerne Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Silver Valley Trojans. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lucerne Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juaquin Landeros, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That hit marked the first that Landeros got this season. Raul Gonzalez was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Lucerne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Silver Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

While Lucerne Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
