Basketball Recap: Johnson County Sports Association Comes Up Short

Johnson County Sports Association lost against Westlake Academy back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Johnson County Sports Association Lions had to suffer through a 39-8 loss at the hands of the Westlake Academy Blacksmiths. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Haylee Flaniken was Johnson County Sports Association's leading scorer, having posted three points. Kayley Myers held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Westlake Academy found their leader in freshman Mason Wack, who posted 13 points.

Johnson County Sports Association's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-1. As for Westlake Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season.

Coming up, Johnson County Sports Association will face off against Tournament Opponent on Friday. Westlake Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
