Basketball Recap: Lakehill Prep Comes Up Short

Lakehill Prep played a tough matchup on Sunday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs and fell 65-28. The Warriors have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Yavneh Academy to victory were Jordyn Spalding and Lilly Yalovsky. Spalding dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 steals, while Yalovsky went 8 for 18 en route to 19 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Yalovsky has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lily Rael, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points.

Lakehill Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Yavneh Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

Lakehill Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Yavneh Academy has also already played their next game, a 50-13 victory against Dallas Lutheran on the 3rd.
