After taking the lead on a
Chance Thrasher touchdown pass to
Jordan Ellis in the first quarter,
Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, Ga.) was up 31-10 at the half.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 21 point game.
Thrasher and
Brandon Johnson teamed up to form a great passing pair. Johnson has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Thrasher has thrown five.
Thrasher played well for the Lions in the victory.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 47-14 win for Peachtree Ridge.
The loss was the third in a row for Duluth (Ga.). The win brought Peachtree Ridge's winning streak to three games.
Peachtree Ridge (3-0) will play a AAAAAA Region 7 game against Mill Creek next week, while Duluth (0-3) will take on Norcross also in a AAAAAA Region 7 game.
