Basketball Game Preview: Lawton-Bronson Eagles vs. Akron-Westfield Westerners

Lawton-Bronson hasn't had much luck against Akron-Westfield recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lawton-Bronson Eagles will host the Akron-Westfield Westerners at 6:00 p.m.

Lawton-Bronson is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-44 heartbreaker at the hands of River Valley.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Akron-Westfield). They came out on top against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn by a score of 62-51 on Friday.

Akron-Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Lawton-Bronson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Lawton-Bronson lost to Akron-Westfield at home by a decisive 53-35 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Lawton-Bronson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
