Baseball Recap: Percy Julian Comes Up Short

Percy Julian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Wetumpka Indians. The Phoenix were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in February of 2021.

Percy Julian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camron Ingram, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Ingram is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Percy Julian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wetumpka, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

While Percy Julian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
