Volleyball Recap: Wayne Takes Down Manila in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wayne walked away with it. They came out on top against the Manila Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Chloe Stewart paced Wayne's offense, picking up 16 kills. Stewart got some help from Timber Wood and her 34 assists. Cassie Rees controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Wayne is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Manila, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Tabiona on the 24th. As for Manila, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Altamont on the 24th.
