Basketball Recap: Patriot Takes a Loss

Patriot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Norte Vista Braves 92-59. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 911th, while the Braves are ranked 217th).

Norte Vista got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Fulton out in front who posted 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hugo Morales, who scored 21 points.

Patriot's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Norte Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Patriot will be playing at home against Rubidoux at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rubidoux knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Patriot likes a good challenge. As for Norte Vista, they will host Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ramona will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Norte Vista surely won't give up without a fight.
