Baseball Recap: Dumont Comes Up Short

Dumont lost against Ridgefield Park back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Huskies fell just short of the Scarlets by a score of 5-4. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luke Sobek made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Mckenna, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Dumont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ridgefield Park, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dumont will venture away from home to face off against Ramsey at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgefield Park, they will head out to challenge Mahwah at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
