Baseball Recap: Wolfe County Wolves vs. DeSales Colts

The Wolfe County Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the DeSales Colts on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Kris Evans made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Evans was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season.

Evans wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon McWhorter, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
