Volleyball Recap: Bartram Trail Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Bartram Trail was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. Augustine on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell just short of the Fleming Island Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Golden Eagles since Tuesday.

Bartram Trail wouldn't go down easily and took Fleming Island into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 13-25, 23-25, 25-22, 18-16.

Bartram Trail's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Fleming Island, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartram Trail will venture away from home to challenge Oakleaf at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fleming Island, they will face off against Middleburg at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
