Basketball Recap: Bladensburg Takes a Loss

Bladensburg played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 74-35 defeat at the hands of the Flowers Jaguars. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.

Flowers' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyla Graham, who went 9 of 16 en route to 17 points and four steals. Graham has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Ava Redmond was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine assists.

Bladensburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Flowers, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Bladensburg has already played their next contest (against Suitland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Flowers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-6 win against High Point on the 31st.
