Basketball Recap: Glynn Academy Comes Up Short

Glynn Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 67-56 to the Richmond Hill Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Terrors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-24 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Glynn Academy still got an impressive performance from Jermaine Mack, who went 9 for 18 en route to 23 points and six rebounds. Those 23 points gave Mack a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jarod Mincey, who posted seven points and three steals.

Glynn Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Richmond Hill, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Glynn Academy and Richmond Hill could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Glynn Academy will square off against Statesboro at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th down 400 places (468 vs. 68). Similarly, Richmond Hill (ranked 253rd) will meet Lowndes (ranked 103rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
