Basketball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Comes Up Short

Crimson Cliffs lost against Dixie back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs were outmatched by the Dixie Flyers and fell 80-48. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crimson Cliffs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Coco Korella, who posted seven points and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Myers, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Crimson Cliffs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Dixie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crimson Cliffs will square off against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Canyon will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Crimson Cliffs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dixie, they will take on Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dixie is facing Hurricane at the right time seeing as Hurricane is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
