West Columbus posted their closest victory since March 11th on Wednesday. They skirted past the Pender Patriots 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.
West Columbus' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brennen Little, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
West Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Pender, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Columbus will head out to challenge Ayden - Grifton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pender, they will venture away from home to face off against Wallace-Rose Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
