Preview: St. Francis vs. Osmond
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Thursday St. Francis takes on Osmond in the first playoff game of the year. St. Francis is coming into the game hot, having won six in a row.
St. Francis can now show off five landslide victories after its game three weeks ago. It dominated three weeks ago, steamrollering Osceola 48 - 6. The margin wasn't a surprise since St. Francis is ranked many positions ahead of Osceola in the nation.
As for Osmond, it entered its game after having won back-to-back but could not continue its run. It simply didn't have it two weeks ago, losing 60 - 0 to Bloomfield. Things were already looking bleak at the break as Osmond was down 44 - 0.
Osmond's defeat dropped it to 3-5 while St. Francis's win brought it to 6-1. We'll see if St. Francis can add another positive mark to its record or if Osmond can shake its loss and take the spring out of St. Francis's step.
