Baseball Recap: Redondo Union Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Redondo Union ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Yorba Linda Mustangs by a score of 5-2. The Sea Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Niko London looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Redondo Union let Ian Brown and Mikey Ricardo run wild. Brown went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Ricardo scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The victory got Redondo Union back to even at 1-1. As for Yorba Linda, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Redondo Union will be taking part in a tournament against Downey at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Yorba Linda, they will host San Juan Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
