Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln Prep vs. Horizon Honors

The Lincoln Prep Lightning will head out on the road to challenge the Horizon Honors Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lincoln Prep fell victim to Chandler Prep and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lightning in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Horizon Honors didn't have quite enough to beat San Tan Charter on Tuesday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one goal.

Horizon Honors has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-2 record this season. As for Lincoln Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Lincoln Prep might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Horizon Honors when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Lincoln Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
