Volleyball Game Preview: Springfield Longhorns vs. La Veta Redhawks

The Springfield Longhorns will head out to take on the La Veta Redhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Springfield came up short against Wiley and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 18-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, La Veta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Custer County.

The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for La Veta, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Springfield couldn't quite get it done against La Veta when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Longhorns avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
