Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Hillers vs. Bethel Park Black Hawks

For the second straight game, Trinity will face off against Bethel Park. Trinity will face off against Bethel Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Trinity came up short against Bethel Park and fell 5-1. The Hillers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

J.R. Rieg was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Trinity saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karson Hathaway, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Hathaway's first of the season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Bethel Park, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
