Baseball Recap: Johnson City Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Johnson City came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the San Saba Armadillos. 16 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Johnson City pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for San Saba, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-2.

Johnson City and San Saba will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Harper at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for San Saba, their break will end when they face Center Point at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
