Volleyball Recap: Pisgah Comes Up Short

If Pisgah was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East Henderson last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears came up short against the Brevard Blue Devils on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Pisgah was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-17.

Pisgah's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Brevard, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pisgah is set to square off against their familiar foe Smoky Mountain at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brevard will challenge rival North Henderson at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
