New Albany came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the South Pontotoc Cougars with a sharp 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

Allie Keller was the driving force of New Albany's attack as she scored all four of New Albany's goals, bringing her season total up to 15 goals.

New Albany is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those eight matches. As for South Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

New Albany will square off against New Hope at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in New Albany's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last six games. As for South Pontotoc, they will head out to face off against Itawamba Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Itawamba Agricultural will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something South Pontotoc surely won't give up without a fight.
