Softball Recap: Jones Trojans vs. Pamlico County Hurricanes

Jones had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-11 to make it five. They came up short against the Pamlico County Hurricanes, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Tuesday.

Jones saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayra Dickson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

As for Pamlico County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

On Pamlico County's side, Kylee Morris was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave Morris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Force, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

As of now, neither Jones nor Pamlico County have any future games scheduled.
