Last Friday, Pro Stock Royals Academy made easy work of Ambassador Christian School and carried off an 8-1 victory.
Colton Kerl looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jace Parenteau, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Joseph Zaffarese was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Charlotte S ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Pine Lake Prep. That looming 8-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Stampede yet this season.
Bowen Macy was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Charlotte S is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Macy was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season.
In other batting news, Tommy Shaw was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Chaney, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Pro Stock Royals Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Charlotte S, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Pro Stock Royals Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Charlotte S struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
