After flying high against Crean Lutheran last Saturday, Canyon came back down to earth. The Canyon Comanches fell just short of the Woodrow Wilson Bruins by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Comanches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Cooper Stevenson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024.

Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Woodrow Wilson, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon will host La Habra at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
