A Season-Best Performance from Kendale Mcgrew Leads Sanger over Bullard

On Friday, Sanger got the W thanks in part to Kendale McGrew playing the best football he has all season. McGrew rushed for 158 yards while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

The victory was the third in a row for Sanger, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. McGrew and Sanger will square off against Justin Garza at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, San Joaquin Memorial got the W thanks in part to Andrew Garcia playing the best football he has all season. Garcia rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

This season, Garcia has run in those 1 touchdown while averaging 65 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 18.33 rushing yards per game.

Baker is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Justin Garza on Friday. When Baker last faced the Guardians back in September of 2023, he rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
