Volleyball Recap: Thornwell's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Thornwell had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Thornwell won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 25-12.

Thornwell's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Thornwell will square off against rival Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Calhoun Falls Charter is set to challenge their familiar foe McCormick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
