Patterson Mill came out on top against Century on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. Patterson Mill blew past Century 11-1. The result was nothing new for Patterson Mill, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Amanda Redmiles tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Audrey March, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ellie Malenfant, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Patterson Mill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Bohemia Manor is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Smyrna. Bohemia Manor came out on top in a nail-biter against Smyrna, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bohemia Manor has posted since March 26th.
Lyla Wescoat (2027) was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing eight innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Wescoat (2027) was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Regan Yatsko (2028) was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Bohemia Manor is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Patterson Mill, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
