Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sulphur Bluff). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Avinger Indians 65-32. The Bears pushed the score to 49-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Indians had little chance of recovering from.

Avinger's loss came despite strong showings from De'Angelo McIntrye and Austyn Alexander. McIntrye posted 15 points, while Alexander had eight points. Those eight points gave Alexander a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Sulphur Bluff and bumps their season record up to 9-13. As for Avinger, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sulphur Bluff will host Bloomburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Avinger, they will be playing at home against Saltillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saltillo will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Avinger surely won't give up without a fight.
