Basketball Game Preview: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Joplin Eagles

The Carl Junction Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Joplin Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Carl Junction will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Webb City, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs managed a 60-56 win over the Cardinals on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Joplin suffered their biggest defeat since February 14th on Tuesday. They took a blow against Glendale, falling 85-57. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Carl Junction's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Joplin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Carl Junction didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Joplin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
