Softball Recap: Warrior Run Defenders vs. South Williamsport Mountaineers
Warrior Run took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against South Williamsport, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Defenders won by a run and slipped past the Mountaineers 4-3. This was payback for the Defenders, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
MacKenzie Heyler spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
