Basketball Recap: Mather Piles Up the Points Against Chicago Academy

After losing to Chicago Academy the last time they met, Mather decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mather Rangers took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 65-31 victory over the Chicago Academy Cougars.

Mather was led to victory by Jeremiah Chalwe and Adin Smajlovic. Chalwe posted 21 points, while Smajlovic scored 22 points. Smajlovic's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Mather's record is now 8-10. As for Chicago Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Mather will be playing in front of their home fans against Von Steuben at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mather is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season. As for Chicago Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-24 win against Roosevelt on the 24th.
