Baseball Game Preview: Naaman Forest Rangers vs. Rowlett Eagles

The Naaman Forest Rangers will head out to face off against the Rowlett Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Naaman Forest fell victim to Rowlett and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Eagles. The match marked the first time this year in which the Rangers were not able to get on the board.

For Rowlett's part, River Kirkhuff was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.1 innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave Kirkhuff a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Jeffrey Claycomb was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Jake Usrey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Rowlett pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.2 runs. As for Naaman Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.
