Basketball Recap: Lewiston Takes a Loss

Lewiston lost against Messalonskee back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lewiston Blue Devils were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Messalonskee Eagles.

Lewiston's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Messalonskee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewiston will take on Oxford Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Messalonskee, they will challenge Mt. Blue at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Messalonskee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
