Garfield lost to Roosevelt back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Garfield Bulldogs escaped with a win against the Roosevelt Rough Riders by the margin of a single free throw, 50-49. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Garfield pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Garfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they will square off against South Gate at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt is facing South Gate at the right time seeing as South Gate is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
