The Granville Central Panthers waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They snuck past Louisburg with a 51-45 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Granville Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Granville Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cj Alston, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Alston hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Harrington, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

Granville Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Southern Durham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully the Panthers like a good challenge.
