Baseball Game Preview: King Wolves vs. Centennial Huskies

For the second straight game, King will face off against Centennial. The Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. King is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, King didn't have enough. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centennial on Tuesday.

For Centennial's part, Charles Rogers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave Rogers a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Rogers wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Simpson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 17-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.
