Basketball Recap: Wheaton Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wheaton Academy was the 50-31 winner over Parkview Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons on Thursday.

Parkview Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Tessa New, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for New. Rhen Staudacher was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Wheaton Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Wheaton Academy will take on Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they will challenge Somonauk/Leland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
