Softball Game Preview: Stockdale Brahmas vs. Goliad Tigers

Stockdale hasn't had much luck against Goliad recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Stockdale will look to defend their home field against Goliad at 6:00 p.m. Stockdale has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stockdale is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They lost 13-2 to Poth. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Brahmas couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Goliad had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Badgers as they made off with a 17-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Stockdale's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Goliad, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
