Basketball Recap: Royal Gets the Win

Royal saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 50-41 victory over the Calvary Baptist Cougars.

Lucas Markand was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. What's more, he posted three steals, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaden Arteaga, who had six points and three steals.

Royal now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Calvary Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Royal will head out to challenge Agoura at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Baptist, they will host Los Osos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
