Basketball Game Preview: Fort Collins Lambkins vs. Rocky Mountain Lobos

The Fort Collins Lambkins will venture away from home to challenge the Rocky Mountain Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Fort Collins lost to Poudre at home by a 50-35 margin. The Lambkins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their defeat, Fort Collins saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Spiro Palmer, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Marcus Burkett, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain came up short against Fossil Ridge on Tuesday and fell 50-41.

Rocky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Fort Collins, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Fort Collins beat Rocky Mountain 54-44 in their previous matchup on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Collins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
