Volleyball Recap: Cincinnati Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cincinnati Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Mars Hill Academy by a score of 3-1 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cincinnati Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-6, 25-19.

Cincinnati Christian had a senior duo take command as Anna-Kate Young had 15 digs and four aces and Lydia Vogelgesang had nine digs and three aces. Young has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Cincinnati Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matches.

Cincinnati Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Mars Hill Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 19-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cincinnati Christian will square off against Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mars Hill Academy, they will be playing at home against Hillsboro Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
