Basketball Game Preview: Standing Rock Warriors vs. New England Tigers

The Standing Rock Warriors will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the New England Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Standing Rock is looking for their season's first win.

Standing Rock is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: Des Lacs-Burlington, who was ranked 20th at the time (Standing Rock was ranked fifth). Standing Rock was beaten by Des Lacs-Burlington 79-37 on Friday.

Meanwhile, New England posted their biggest victory since December 11, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Belfield, posting a 66-34 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Standing Rock's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for New England, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Standing Rock came up short against New England in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 53-47. Can Standing Rock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
