Baseball Recap: Menlo-Atherton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Menlo-Atherton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Tyler Rosenthal looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Masataka Shudo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryder Kelly, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
